About the Center
The Center for Global Sustainable Development promotes and supports environmentally sustainable and socially just innovation. The Center encourages changemakers to pursue innovation for the global good, primarily benefiting those at the bottom of the wealth pyramid. The Center specializes in equity-focused, community-centered design to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
But the Center for Global Sustainable Development is at risk.
Unprecedented budget cuts at UC San Diego threaten our ability to deliver the globally engaged, equity-focused education that prepares students to address pressing challenges—from climate resilience to community-driven innovation.
For years, CGSD has supported transformative programs like Global TIES and the Global Changemaker Scholars, empowering students to work with communities to create meaningful, sustainable impact. These opportunities cannot continue without philanthropic support.
Your gift helps safeguard our programs, sustain community partnerships, and ensure that UC San Diego students can continue to learn, lead, and innovate for a more just and sustainable world.
